Products and Services represent the fundamental value units of the platform. They serve as the reusable building blocks for business development, allowing users to rapidly construct complex Proposals and Invoices from a pre-defined catalog.

Core Essential Components

Centralized Catalog

A unified repository for both physical goods (Products) and time-based offerings (Services), supporting SKU tracking, taxability status, and dynamic pricing models.

Proposal Context Engine

Allows Products to be directly linked to Proposals. The system automatically inherits core product attributes (unit price, tax rate) to finalize the financial terms of the offer.

Revision & Availability Tracking

Manages the lifecycle of an offering, allowing for status transitions between ACTIVE, DRAFT, and ARCHIVED.

Business Logic:

When a Product is added to a Proposal, the system snapshots the current 'UnitPrice'. Subsequent changes to the core Product catalog will not retroactively affect existing Proposals.
